General School Rules

At Simon Fraser School we welcome all families no matter their race, culture, composition, religion, or sexual orientation.

Morning School Bell

Morning School Bell – students must wait outside until the school bell rings (unlessattending a staff-sponsored activity before school, have a prearranged agreementwith a staff member or are going to the Library, which is open Monday to Friday at8:30 a.m. (Fridays will be for quiet reading only no book exchange).

Entrance Doors

Entrance doors to be used only by Special Needs students & Kindergarten students in order to reduce traffic. South East Door (under covered area) to be used by all other students.

Wheels

No riding on school grounds between 8:40 AM to 3:15 PM.

School is not liable for lost or stolen items.

Bicycles must be locked up on fence.
Scooters must be folded before entering the school building.
Rollerblades must be removed before entering the school building.
Skateboards must be carried into school & stored safely in the classroom.

Electronics

School is not liable for lost or stolen items
a) cell phones – students are welcome to bring to school but must be turned off during the day
b) electronic games – are NOT allowed at school – NO Ipods

Adventure Playground

Recess – reserved for Kindergartens, Grade 1, 2 & 3 students only.
Lunch – open to all Simon Fraser students.

Overall Student Behaviour

No Play Fighting, Swearing, Name-calling or Making Fun of any Other Students

Expectations Regarding Lunch Time

a) Classroom teacher will go over the expectations for students eating at school

b) For those who normally eat lunch at school, a note from home is necessary whena student wishes to eat lunch at a friend’s house

c) use ramp door only for entering and exiting school at lunch time
