Multi Age Cluster Class (MACC) Program Advocacy
Currently parents are fighting to stop the VSB cancellation of a District Program, Multi Age Cluster Class (MACC) for kids who are neurodiverse. Vancouver DPAC has written to trustees in favour of maintaining this program in its current format, and is asking for more meaningful parent engagement for significant changes.

Feedback on Food and Beverage Sales in Schools
The Ministries of Health and Education are requesting PAC and DPAC feedback on proposed changes to the 2013 Guidelines for Food and Beverage Sales in BC Schools. We are inviting you to provide feedback and your input AFTER you review the Proposed 2022 Guidelines AND the K-12 Discussion Paper outlining the Ministry’s rationale for the proposed 2022 Guidelines.

These proposed changes to the Food & Beverage guidelines will affect menu items on hot lunch programs that schools offer, including hot lunch at our school, food sent from home to share with the class, or food offered by the school at celebrations. Click here to complete the survey online.

Indigenous-focused graduation requirement feedback
As announced on March 4, the Ministry of Education will be implementing an Indigenous-focused graduation requirement as part of the province’s commitment to truth and reconciliation.

We strongly encourage parents/guardians to review the materials (below) and to provide input through the survey. Your feedback will be compiled by an independent research firm into a “What We Heard” report which will be provided to the Ministry of Education.
